InsideEpicBenefits.com will provide all the information you need to make informed elections and My.VailResorts.com is where you will enter those elections.  Before enrolling, please be sure to read the instructions further down on this page on how to complete the enrolment process.

Newly Hired or Rehired Employee

Welcome to the Vail Resorts’ family! Prior to enrolling, it’s a good idea to go here to learn about what benefits you are eligible to enroll in based on your colour group. Seasonal Full-Time Employee Who Just Reached 1,500 Hours

Congratulations on reaching 1,500 hours as a Seasonal Full-Time employee! You are now classified as a Purple Group employee, which means you are eligible for Company-paid MSP (Provincial Health Plan), Extended Health Coverage, Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) and Vision insurance. Prior to enrolling, it’s a good idea to go here to learn about what benefits you are eligible to enroll in based on your colour group. Be sure to look through other areas of this website for valuable information on your benefits. Seasonal Full-Time Employee Who Just Reached 2,000 Hours

Congratulations on reaching 2,000 hours as a Seasonal Full-Time employee! You are now classified as a Red Group employee, which means you are eligible for Dental and Disability insurance, as well as the Retirement Savings Plan (RSP). Prior to enrolling, it’s a good idea to go here to learn about what benefits you are eligible to enroll in based on your colour group. Once you’ve had the chance to familiarize yourself with your available benefits, you’re ready to complete the enrollment process. Scroll below for Online Enrollment instructions.

Qualified Life Event

If you are already enrolled in benefits and have a Qualified Life Event (QLE) such as marriage, divorce, birth, etc., you may updated your benefit elections. Contact the HR - Employee Experience Team for more information.


HOW TO ENROLL

1.  From any internet-enabled device, go to my.vailresorts.com

2.  Enter your Vail Resorts employee ID and your PeopleSoft password.

  If you previously accessed PeopleSoft but don’t remember your password, click the
‘Forgot Password?’ link and answer the questions to reset your password. Once you
receive confirmation that your password has been reset, close any open instances of
PeopleSoft and re-launch using m.my.vailresorts.com.

  If you are a new PeopleSoft user, enter your employee ID number and “PswdXXXX” as
your password, with the XXXX being the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number.
Choose the ‘Click here to change your password’ link and enter “PswdXXXX” again as
your current password. Create a new password and save.

4. Click the Open button

5. Select the appropriate benefit options you wish to enroll in and follow the appropriate steps.

6. Click Review Summary to review your elections.

7. Click Update Elections to submit your elections.

8. Click Final Submission to complete the enrollment process.  

9. Confirm Your Elections!  After you submit your elections, you should confirm your enrollment through Self Service the following day. Login to my.vailresorts.com and click on Benefit Summary. On this screen you will see your current elections. To confirm your future benefit elections, change the date to the first day your new benefit elections will be effective. Click Go and your future elections will appear.

Looking for a video walkthrough?  Once you're logged into my.vailresorts.com, you can follow the steps outlined in the video tutorial below to complete the enrollment process.  This video is based on the benefits for a year-round employee, so seasonal employees will see fewer options.  

 

Remember!  You are also required to keep your email address and emergency contact information updated through my.vailresorts.com. You can do this by clicking each respective icon to update your information.


WHAT COMMUNICATIONS WILL I RECEIVE?

Employees can expect to receive up to four emails around your initial benefit eligibility and enrollment:

Black Group Employees - Shortly after you are hired, you will be sent an email informing you of your eligibility along with a request to complete the Medical Services Plan (MSP) form.  Be sure to complete the MSP form and return it to HR - Employee Experience as soon as possible.  

Green Group Employees - After you have worked 1,350 hours (in preparation of you becoming eligible for the Purple Group at 1,500 hours) you will be sent an email informing you of your eligibility along with a request to complete the Medical Services Plan (MSP) form. Be sure to complete the MSP form and return it to HR - Employee Experience as soon as possible.

Purple Group EmployeesAfter you have worked 1,850 hours (in preparation of you becoming eligible for the Red Group at 2,000 hours) you will be sent an email informing you of the change in eligibility once you reach 2,000 hours.  

All Employees - Once you are eligible to begin the enrollment process, you will be sent up to three emails:

1. An "Action Requested" email is sent when you can begin the enrollment process.  
2. A "Reminder" email will be sent one week before your enrollment period ends.  If you complete the enrollment process before this, you will not be sent the reminder email.  
3. An "Action Completed" email will be sent after you complete the enrollment process.  

WHEN CAN I ENROLL?

If you fall under one of the categories listed above, you have 30 days from your benefits effective date (which is the 1st of the month following your hire/eligibility date) to enroll and make changes to your benefit elections. Depending on how close to your effective date you enroll, you may owe missed premiums going back to your benefits effective date. If this is the case, you will incur double premium deductions to collect these missed premiums.
